This painting, The Stroll (2022), presents a dreamlike encounter between figures and architecture that blurs the line between reality and imagination. At its center, two elongated, mask-like figures move together, their golden heads glowing against a darkened corridor. Their garments, patterned and textural, lend them a ceremonial or theatrical aura.
Surrounding them is a surreal architecture of arches and abstract forms. On the left, warm ochres and soft blues create curving passageways, resembling both stone structures and fluid movement. On the right, swirling forms in earthy oranges and pale blues suggest transformation, as if the walls themselves are alive, bending and reshaping with the figures’ presence.
The composition evokes the sensation of wandering through an interior that is both monumental and intimate. The figures’ mysterious journey feels like a symbolic procession—an exploration of thresholds, memory, and identity within a shifting, otherworldly space.
