In River of Time, the viewer is drawn into a haunting meditation on mortality and memory. At the center, figures gather solemnly around a reclining body, their faces tender yet burdened by the weight of inevitability. The scene recalls echoes of classical lamentation, yet it is fractured by abstraction, as though history itself is eroding into fragments.
The composition is anchored by a dark vertical form, like a chasm or monumental marker, dividing the painting into spaces of remembrance and forgetting. Surrounding this core, swirling textures and distorted forms suggest the relentless current of time, sweeping moments and lives into obscurity. The figures cling to one another, resisting the pull, yet their presence feels transient.
Colors of earth and flesh intermingle with shadow, evoking both decay and continuity. River of Time speaks of the human struggle to hold on to meaning while being carried forward, unceasingly, by the passage of existence. It is at once elegy and reflection, silence and endurance.
