New Understanding layers fragments of sacred imagery within a rhythmic architectural framework, evoking the repetition of arches in a cathedral. The central figure of mother and child becomes a focal point, radiating tenderness and continuity amid fractured reflections. This interplay of devotion and distortion suggests both reverence and reinterpretation.
The mirrored arcs, glowing with warm tones of red and gold, recall stained glass windows reimagined in digital form. Figures and gestures overlap, blurring boundaries between the original and the abstract, between past symbolism and present perception. Through repetition, the familiar is made strange, inviting deeper contemplation.
This work embodies the tension between tradition and innovation. By deconstructing and recomposing sacred motifs, New Understanding calls viewers to question inherited meanings and discover fresh perspectives. It is an invitation to see not only what is represented, but also how meaning shifts when filtered through layers of time, memory, and reinterpretation.
