A searing burnt-orange ground crackles beneath layers of thick impasto, where vibrant blues and teals gather like a cooling pool. Scattered yellow flecks and rusted browns puncture the surface, while the raw linen peeks through in places, lending an earthy warmth to the composition.
The paint is applied with urgent, tactile gestures—scraped strokes, clotted knots and vertical drips that read almost sculptural. Dark, crusted masses anchor the top, while smoother, wet blues push forward, creating depth and a rhythmic push-pull across the canvas.
